For us it is clear: the security of our citizens must be a priority. If a person from a third country has already been convicted in court in an EU country, that information must also be accessible for the other member states, quickly, clearly and securely.

With this law we effectively make access to a whole set of data on people from third countries easier, at the level of court judgments and of criminal records, with respect for data protection and also for proportionality.
