\nThe Chamber debated and adopted bill 8290, which raises the maximum CO2 excise duty towards 45 euros per tonne of CO2 by 2026 and lifts the CO2 tax credit from 144 to 168 euros; three motions were tabled during the debate, by Franz Fayot on the split of the revenue, by Fred Keup on the kilometre allowance and by Sven Clement on indexing the tax-credit thresholds, and all three were rejected.
