\nThe Chamber debated and adopted bill 8461 approving the advanced framework agreement between the European Union and Chile, by 58 votes to 2, with déi Lénk voting against.
\nLaurent Zeimet (CSV), stressing the importance of the human rights and rule of law part of the agreement:

And that is why it is extremely important to us that in particular the part on human rights and the rule of law is set down in this agreement, because as we know Chile is a country that had to live through a hard dictatorship, and also through many radical economic reforms that did not necessarily do the country good.
