\nThe Chamber debated bill 8523 on state support for public and specialised libraries and adopted it unanimously by 59 votes; a second motion by Djuna Bernard on reading promotion was referred to the culture and education committees.

That is why the law also creates the one-off start-up aid — the rapporteur went into it — of 100,000 euros, though I regret that it is not available to a non-profit association, but only to a municipal library.
