On 2 May 2025 the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) imposed an administrative fine of EUR 4,968,780 on Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat, Luxembourg (Credit institutions). The decision was published on 30 July 2025. The CSSF gives the ground as non-compliance with professional obligations regarding the monitoring of transactions in the context of the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
