On 19 May 2025 the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) imposed an administrative fine of EUR 214,000 on Alipay (Payment institutions/electronic money institutions/AISPs). The decision was published on 2 September 2025. The CSSF gives the ground as non-compliance with professional obligations related to “anti-money laundering / counter financing of terrorism”.
