élargie question from Francine Closener on the promised second adult in every Cycle 1 class, answered by Education Minister Claude Meisch, and a déi gréng heure d'actualité on mobile phone use at school, at the end of which Djuna Bernard tabled two motions, the first on a global digital-education approach and the second on evaluating the device ban; the first motion was withdrawn after the Sehovic put an élargie question to the government on the crisis in the construction sector, asking what the January 2024 measures had produced for sales in the future state of completion (VEFA) and prices\n
\n
A motion from David Wagner, co-signed by the LSAP and the Piraten, asking the government to extend all energy price caps for one more year was debated and rejected, and the Chamber then debated and voted bill 8428 financing the negative contribution of the compensation mechanism, which caps the 2025 electricity price rise at 30 per cent with up to 171 million euros of state money; Economy and Energy Minister Lex Delles answered for the government.
\n
\n
\n
Poverty and social benefits\n
\n
Two bills reported by Mandy Minella came before the Chamber and were voted: bill 8423, extending to the end of 2025 the state contribution to the energy costs of old people's homes, care homes and sheltered housing in return for a freeze on accommodation prices, and bill 8424, making the équivalent
