The Chamber held the annual orientation debate 8644 on the financing of the large infrastructure projects built by the State, and adopted motion 1, tabled by rapporteur Corinne Cahen and signed by all six groups, unanimously by show of hands, giving the government the go-ahead for the studies on the projects costing more than 30 million euros.
Inside the orientation debate 8644 the deputies discussed the rail, road and tram projects on the list and the accessibility of stations; Marc Goergen withdrew his motion 3 on a direct Niederkorn to Bascharage rail link, and the Chamber rejected his motion 4 on a uniform split of tram costs between the State and the communes by 57 votes to 2 and his motion 5 on making private investors pay for tram stops by 35 votes to 8 with 17 abstentions.
Within the orientation debate 8644 the deputies and the mobility minister discussed the school buildings on the project list, among them the Lycée Nic-Biever, the Lycée Bel-Val and the Lycée Robert-Schuman, and the date of the plan sectoriel for secondary schools.
Meris Sehovic tabled motion 2, signed with LSAP, Piraten and déi Lénk, asking the government to start the securing, structural stabilisation and decontamination of the listed centrale des soufflantes at Belval without delay and in parallel with the urban programming studies; after a debate that referred back to the previous day's discussion on the two Belval chimneys, the Chamber rejected the motion by 35 votes to 25.
The Chamber debated and adopted unanimously, by 60 votes, the projet de loi 8559 on building the laboratories and offices of the agricultural technical services administration ASTA at Gilsdorf, next to the agricultural school, and granted the dispensation from the second constitutional vote.
