The sittings covered the government's drive to make third-pillar private pension insurance and second-pillar occupational schemes more attractive, met by opposition warnings that the subsidy in bill 8640 mainly benefits banks and insurers, and déi Lénk's running challenge to what the pension reserve fund invests in. They also covered the insurance regulator's rebuild, from the motor-insurance insolvency fund created by bill 8184 through the Commissariat aux assurances funding bill 8616 to the Solvency II transposition due by January 2027, plus the sector's record life-insurance premiums and its use of AI.
